What do you think are some good retirement gift ideas? Well, mine was this frilly little cushion that one can sit back and rest her tired back on sipping her coffee and enjoying the days in peace and quiet.
Doesn't it sound so charming? To me, it definitely does! But, oh, I don't know how many more years I've got before I retire, 20,25 maybe even 30! This I need to find out soon. Anyway, this was a fun project to make although I had to do it in a short time, and as I am not yet so experienced with all this stuff, my patience began to run out towards the end.
First, I made the crochet block.
Then I stitched it onto a piece of floral fabric. As for backing, I used blue polka-dot fabric.
I thought the purple polka-dot frills would make a nice addition.
Fortunately, I finished it on time and have already handed it over. Now that I have learned from my mistakes, I believe I can make another one in less time. We'll see!
